Fun, adventure and emotions: three words to describe geocaching and our days in Portugal.
15th in the morning we arrived in Lisbon for the Erasmus exchange very early then we decided to visit the city.
We also did some geocaching, we found three caches near the Océanario and took some cool pictures of the place which was very nice.
After lunch we took the train to reach Sintra.
The host families welcomed us very warmly and we were very happy to see our old friends again. Then we went to Sintra's park and met other friends of the Erasmus+ project. In addition to our Portuguese hosts, there were Spanish and French students. We did a game to break the ice and we had a lot of fun.
We spent the evening at home with the families and we had the chance to taste Portuguese typical food for the first time.
The 16th we visited the school and did a lot of geocaching all around the city - some caches were very tricky!, then, on the 17th we devoted the day to a touristic tour which brought us from the National palace of Sintra to the Quinta da Regaleira park and palace; we also had a meeting with the authorities and did...can’t you guess... a little bit of good geocaching, of course!
These mobilities and geocaching in its whole are a very thrilling experience which make us trying new things - such as climbing a rock, as we did today, after having visited the Pena Palace - and going beyond our limits and fears. We recommend it to all young people, because it helps to improve English, to learn from different cultures and, of course to gain longlife friendships.
